New Mexico Jazz Festival
2022 New Mexico Jazz Festival

This year an outstanding lineup of renowned musicians will perform at venues throughout Santa Fe and Albuquerque as part of the New Mexico Jazz Festival, including 18-Grammy Award winning Count Basie Orchestra; post-bop saxophonist, bandleader, and composer Ravi Coltrane with harpist Brandee Younger; lauded drummer, producer, and educator Terri Lyne Carrington; and the legendary band Tower of Power.
The 16th annual New Mexico Jazz Festival—a collaborative project of Lensic Performing Arts Center and Outpost Performance Space—runs September 15-October 7. Every year, the festival brings audiences from throughout the region to New Mexico for a chance to see back-to-back performances by some of the jazz world’s biggest acts.
In addition to the concerts, a pre-show event on September 17 will feature A.B. Spellman, retired National Endowment for the Arts Deputy Chairman, jazz historian, and poet in conversation with Terri Lyne Carrington, who performs the same evening with her Social Science ensemble. The two NEA stars are sure to enlighten and delight.
