Beat the Blues: A Concert to Benefit The Lensic Starring Keb' Mo'
Beat the Blues with legendary blues musician Keb’ Mo’ in a special online concert to benefit The Lensic!
Keb’ Mo’ is a modern master of American roots music, with five Grammy Awards—including a 2020 Grammy for Best Americana Album —12 Grammy nominations, and a reputation for understated excellence in his live and studio performances. Keb’ has recorded 14 albums and collaborated with greats from Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal to India Arie and Jackson Browne.
Before Keb’s livestreamed concert, we’ll celebrate the Lensic’s performance, education, and community programs with a preshow event featuring Taos-based singer-songwriter Garry Blackchild; Santa Fe student musicians Madelyn and Nathan Kingston and their dad, jazz artist Andy Kingston; and information about the Lensic’s work in the community, including its partnership with Santa Fe-based nonprofit Indigenous Ways and our ongoing work with autistic students in the Santa Fe Schools with educator and magician Kevin Spencer.
All proceeds from the evening will support The Lensic, Santa Fe’s nonprofit performing arts center, while the theater is dark. Without revenue from theater rentals and in-person ticket sales, we must rely on contributions as we continue to preserve our historic theater and find new ways to bring arts experiences to our community.
Ticket prices for Beat the Blues have been kept as low as possible so that more people have a chance to join us. If you are able, please support The Lensic with a donation when you purchase your tickets or during the concert. Thank you for keeping The Lensic strong and the performing arts alive in our community!
This event is generously sponsored by Mary Fisher and Hutton Broadcasting.
Tickets: $15 — Just one ticket needed for each household or device
