Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival
Dvořák & Prokofiev

British composer Julian Anderson’s The Bearded Lady and Prokofiev’s Flute Sonata—featuring virtuoso interpretations by clarinetist Todd Levy and flutist Tara Helen O’Connor, respectively—take listeners on journeys that are equally playful and poignant. To close out the program, the Calidore String Quartet joins forces with violist Toby Appel and cellist Peter Stumpf for Dvořák’s one and only String Sextet, which marked a turning point in the up-and-coming composer’s career.
