Continuing a New Mexico Jazz Festival tradition, A.B. Spellman, retired National Endowment for the Arts Deputy Chairman, jazz historian, and poet presents a pre-concert conversation with Terri Lyne Carrington, who performs the same evening with her Social Science ensemble.

The two NEA stars are sure to enlighten and delight: in 2005, the NEA named one of its prestigious Jazz Masters awards the “A.B. Spellman NEA Jazz Masters Award for Jazz Advocacy,” and in 2021, Carrington was named an NEA Jazz Master.
