Pablo Sáinz-Villegas returns to Santa Fe! The “global ambassador of Spanish guitar” (Billboard) takes us on a musical journey of iconic pieces from his homeland— from the yearning, lyrical melodies of Tárrega’s Recuerdos de la Alhambra to the virtuosic fire of Albéniz’s Asturias. Whatever the style, Sáinz-Villegas’ playing remains peerless— a hypnotic blend of technical ability, artistry, passion, and sheer joy “characterized by its vividly shaded colors and irresistible exuberance.” (The New York Times) An inexhaustible talent, Sáinz-Villegas has made a name for himself through his extensive international touring and collaborations with prestigious directors, orchestras, festivals, and composers. Following his sold-out performance in March 2020 (the last concert PSF presented before the COVID-19 pandemic), we are thrilled to welcome Sáinz-Villegas back to the Lensic for his highly anticipated return.
