Santa Fe, New Mexico | Lensic Presents Doktor Kaboom, an interactive journey of educational and hysterical science experiments. Comedian and entertainer David Epley has concocted a hilarious show that methodically studies just how much fun science can be (spoiler, it’s so much fun). Centripetal force, inertia, chemical reactions—Epley enacts the fundamentals of science and at some point, something will go KABOOM! Suggested for kids in grades 3–8, the program is equally entertaining for adults.

In addition to his mainstage performance, Doktor Kaboom will perform two free matinees for students from Santa Fe Public Schools as part of the Lensic’s performing arts education programs.

Doktor Kaboom has built a great big spinning wheel and labeled it with everything from optical illusions to chemical reactions to a homemade hovercraft, and more! At least a dozen fantastic demonstrations are ready to go. Wherever the wheel stops, that’s what’s next! Will we turn a water bottle into a rocket or catapult bananas across the stage? Electrocute a pickle or create artificial gravity? Who knows! No two shows will be the same. So, step right up, and let’s spin that wheel!
