Santa Fe, New Mexico | The Lensic Performing Arts Center’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration returns—Joe Illick, artistic director and principal conductor of the Fort Worth Opera, leads an all-star orchestra and will be joined by renowned countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo to ring in the new year. The program will feature orchestral songs of the season including Tchaikovsky’s “Polonaise” and a lively second half of Gershwin songs, with favorites like “Love Is Here to Stay” and “I Got Rhythm.”

Costanzo, known for his electrifying performance in the title role in Philip Glass’ Akhnaten at the Metropolitan Opera, is a Grammy award-winning singer and a recipient of the 2020 Beverly Sills Award. He performed the title role of John Corigliano’s The Lord of Cries at the Santa Fe Opera in 2021.

Families are invited to the open rehearsal at 1 pm (tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children twelve and under). Tickets for the 5 pm performance are $30–$80.
