Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival
Brahms & Ravel
BRAHMS & RAVEL
David Shifrin and the Verona Quartet perform Brahms’s Clarinet Quintet, one of the composer’s final works and one that’s often cited as his greatest piece of chamber music. The program also includes a gorgeous harp showpiece by Ravel—his Introduction and Allegro—and a new Festival-commissioned work for piano quartet by Elizabeth Ogonek, who, early in her acclaimed career, was one of the participants in the Festival’s first-ever Young Composers String Quartet Project.
