Las Cafeteras: Hasta La Muerte

Albuquerque fans, Las Cafeteras presents Hasta La Muerte at the KiMo Theatre on October 19!
Hasta La Muerte is an enthralling new production that explores the stages of grief and celebrates life and death in the spirit of the Indigenous Mexican Day of the Dead tradition. From the imagination of Las Cafeteras, this multi-dimensional theatrical and musical performance is a brilliant, colorful, and moving invitation to travel through time, rhythm, and memory. Combining mesmerizing choreography, poetry, and a score of original and traditional songs, Hasta La Muerte is a beautiful show for all ages.
In addition to these performances, Las Cafeteras will visit towns in Northern New Mexico with workshops and community concerts. This Rural Arts Initiative, a new addition to the Lensic’s arts education programs, brings the arts to communities and schools with limited access to touring arts education.
The residency will host events at public schools, two free community concerts in Northern New Mexico:
October 24: Taos Community Concert
October 25: Las Vegas Community Concert
