One of Santa Fe’s favorites — Storm Large returns to The Lensic! Whether in a nightclub or on a concert stage, singer-songwriter Storm Large uses the thrilling power of her voice to connect with audiences on a deep and emotional level. She shot to national prominence as a finalist on “Rock Star: Supernova” in 2006 and, although she was eliminated the week before the finale, she built a large and loyal fan base that follows her to this day. After singing in clubs throughout San Francisco, she moved to Portland to pursue a career as a chef, but soon renewed a singing career that launched her onto the international stage.
Over the past few years, Storm has performed her one-woman autobiographical musical memoir Crazy Enough at La Jolla Music Society and Portland Center Stage, celebrating the show’s ten-year anniversary. She made her debut with the Philly Pops, members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Seattle Symphony, and appeared in return engagements with the Houston, Detroit, Toronto Symphonies, the New York Pops, and the Louisville Orchestra, with whom she recorded the 2017 album All In.
Storm has continued to tour with her band Le Bonheur and as a special guest on Michael Feinstein’s Shaken & Stirred tour. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2013, singing Weill’s Seven Deadly Sins with the Detroit Symphony as part of the Spring for Music Festival. Since 2011, Storm has performed with sophisticated swing band Pink Martini, with whom she appeared at the Bankhead in 2015, and was featured on their CD “Get Happy.” She returned to the Bankhead for a solo concert in 2017.
