Visionary Award Presentation to Zahn McClarnon

Join the Santa Fe International Film Festival in presenting the Visionary Award to actor Zahn McClarnon.

McClarnon is most recently known for his leading role as Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn in the AMC series “Dark Winds” executive produced by George R.R. Martin and the late Robert Redford. McClarnon also serves as an Executive Producer and Director (season 4 episode 2) for the series, which just wrapped its fifth season. Based on Tony Hillerman’s novels, “Dark Winds” follows two Navajo police officers in the 1970s as they investigate numerous seemingly unrelated crimes and is set in the American Southwest and shot in Santa Fe.

Also known for playing Officer Big in the FX series “Reservation Dogs,” McClarnon earned a Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a New Scripted Series as part of the cast on Reservation Dogs.

Throughout McClarnon’s career spanning more than three decades, he has charmed audiences with standout roles as Officer Mathias in “Longmire,” as Akecheta in HBO’s second season of “Westworld,” and as Hanzee Dent in the second season of the FX series “Fargo,” where his performance received critical acclaim in The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, and The Wall Street Journal.
