Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra

The Marsalis family has redefined the music of the Crescent City. In 2007, NEA Jazz Master and Grammy Award-winning trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis formed the Uptown Jazz Orchestra to keep important jazz traditions such as riff-playing, spontaneous group improvisation, and collective New Orleans instrumental polyphony alive.
