Named “Best Of Dance” by the Washington Post and one of “12 standout companies” by the Los Angeles Times, Jacob Jonas The Company (JJTC) has burst onto the dance scene with its fresh take on contemporary ballet, breakdancing, and acrobatic movement. From the piers of Santa Monica to the Kennedy Center, JJTC brings new light to contemporary dance. At the Lensic, the company will perform three original works—Early Bird, Mind Cry, and In A Rush To Do Nothing that feature original music composition and costume design.
JJTC is a Los Angeles-based creative company that intersects dance across mediums to make original works and initiates nontraditional collaborations. JJTC has collaborated with artists including Rosalía, Elton John, Sia, Imogen Heap and Antonio Sánchez. The company has created original work for brands including Apple, Gap, MasterCard, and Gucci. It has partnered with museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Getty Museum, the Swiss National Museum, and the Whitney Museum. The company continues to create work with a mission to make dance more visible and valuable.
