Joe Illick and the New Year's Eve Orchestra
Now in its 19th year, our favorite holiday tradition returns! Every December, conductor, composer, and music director Joe Illick brings the brightest musicians to our stage to ring in the New Year. In 2026, violinist Augustin Hadelich joins the orchestra for Paganini’s Violin Concerto #4, and soprano Jennifer Rowley is joined by baritone Raymond Diaz for operatic selections. Full of joy, verve, and conviviality, these performances are the perfect way to celebrate all that’s ahead.
Joe Illick is the Composer-in-Residence and the Music Director Emeritus of Fort Worth Opera. He served as the Artistic Director of Fort Worth Opera from 2017 to 2022, having previously held the position of Music Director and Principal Conductor for fifteen seasons.
Augustin Hadelich is known for his phenomenal technique, insightful and persuasive interpretations, and ravishing tone. Soprano Jennifer Rowley is acclaimed for her unforgettable voice and remarkable stage presence, singing a richly varied repertoire that includes many of opera’s greatest heroines. Baritone Raymond Diaz has performed extensively in concert and has essayed lead operatic roles in Manila and in the US.
