The Planets

Sunday, October 15, 2023, 4 PM: The Planets 

One of the most highly anticipated concerts of The Symphony’s 2023–2024 Season is The Planets, presenting Himari Yoshimura, the youngest ever Grand Prize winner of the International Competition for Young Violinists (Lublin 2021). At just 12 years of age, she joins her teacher and renowned soloist Ida Kavafian for Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins, plus a solo performance with Yoshimura for Henryk Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in F# Minor. The program concludes with Holst’s The Planets, featuring The Symphony Chorus Ensemble awith narration by Santa Fe Institute Professor, Cris Moore.
