Jenny Lind, (1820–1887), known as the ‘Swedish Nightingale,’ was the reigning soprano of her day. Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling revisits her career with collaborative pianist Emanuel Ax, embarking on a touching journey through the lesser known and documented final 30 years of Jenny’s life.

This season, Takács Quartet is joined by bandoneon player Julien Labro for two new commissions by Bryce Dessner and Clarice Assad for quintet. To bring us home, Takács closes the program with Ravel’s String Quartet, the composer’s first masterpiece.
