Director of Membership and Individual Giving

The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks a Director of Membership and Individual Giving. The successful candidate will have an established background and proven track record of creating and executing successful fundraising plans, ideally with a nonprofit arts organization.
This position is responsible for planning and implementing the membership program and other individual giving programs that meet the contributed annual revenue goals of the Lensic. This position also provides support for the endowment campaign and the planned giving program.
The Director of Membership and Individual Giving reports to the Director of Development, supervises the Donor Services Administrator, and is a key member of the six-person development team. In addition, this position collaborates with board leadership, as well as executive, finance, box office, and marketing and communications staff.
Our ideal candidate must be able to communicate, socialize, and cultivate a wide range of supporters and patrons, including board members and major donors. They will have strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. Also required are budget management experience, and excellent written and verbal communication.
Additionally, our ideal candidate will have:
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in membership and individual giving.
· Proficiency in donor database software (Tessitura preferred), prospect research programs (iWave preferred), and planned giving software (Crescendo preferred). Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and the use of the Internet are required.
· Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
· A bachelor’s degree, preferably in arts administration, communications, business, or related field.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and the applicant’s track record of fundraising.

Donor Services Administrator
The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks an experienced data entry/fundraising professional for the position of Donor Services Administrator. This position is vital to the team-based success of the Development Office, which oversees contributions, grants, memberships, and sponsorships, as well as donor events. This position reports to the Director of Development and works collaboratively with staff across departments. The Donor Services Administrator plays a key role in ensuring Santa Fe’s treasured non-profit performing arts center can fulfill its mission through performances, education, and community programs.
Responsibilities include:
· daily gift processing/data entry and monthly account reconciliation
· maintaining donor records in Tessitura database
· producing acknowledgment letters
· assisting with donor events
· data analysis and auditing
· providing VIP ticketing services to donors
The ideal candidate will have experience with Tessitura; excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer skills (Microsoft Office/Word, Excel, Outlook); outstanding customer service skills; and knowledge of IRS rules related to contributions. The position requires the ability to manage multiple project deadlines with attention to detail. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
A bachelor’s degree and previous fundraising experience is preferred; experience with membership programs preferred.
