Director of Development
The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks a full-time Director of Development to lead the organization’s fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will have an established background and proven track record of creating and executing successful fundraising plans, ideally with a nonprofit arts organization. This position reports to the executive director and is part of the leadership team.
The Development Director will be responsible for managing a 3- to 5-person development team while leading annual campaigns (individual, corporate, and foundation giving) and launching a planned giving program.
Our ideal candidate must be able to communicate, socialize, and cultivate a wide range of supporters and patrons, including both board members and major donors, and have strong leadership and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. Also required are budget management experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and previous experience with research and grant writing for foundations and corporations.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of fundraising and development experience. Prior experience and familiarity with Tessitura is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the applicant’s track record of fundraising.

Finance Administrator
The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks a Finance Administrator to support our Director of Finance. This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative accounting duties to ensure accurate financial information and to support department workflow and planning.
The Finance Administrator’s responsibilities include reconciling a variety of statements and accounts, daily ticket sales and contribution data entry, accounts payable, and credit card receipt management.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated computer proficiency (QuickBooks, MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook), and be knowledgeable about GAAP and nonprofit accounting. This position will require being able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, as well as a great attention to detail. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
