Director of Development
The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks a full-time Director of Development to lead the organization’s fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will have an established background and proven track record of creating and executing successful fundraising plans, ideally with a nonprofit arts organization. This position reports to the executive director and is part of the leadership team.
The Development Director will be responsible for managing a 5-person development team while ensuring the organization is meeting its annual contributed revenue goals through individual, corporate, foundation, and government support. This position will also focus on grants, major gifts, legacy, and endowment gifts.
Our ideal candidate must be able to communicate, socialize, and cultivate a wide range of supporters and patrons, including both board members and major donors, and have strong leadership and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. Also required are budget management experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and previous experience with research and grant writing for foundations and corporations.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years of direct fundraising and development experience. Prior experience and familiarity with Tessitura is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the applicant’s track record of fundraising.

Stage Manager and Technical Internship Supervisor
The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks a full-time Stage Manager, a senior position within the production department. Reporting to the Production Manager and the Director of Operations, the Stage Manager ensures the success of all on-stage productions within the Lensic venue and assists in the daily reporting of the theater operations and maintenance needs. This position also supports Lensic performing arts education programs.
Responsibilities include:
· Supervising and managing crews and productions for all activities on the Lensic Stage.
· Supporting Production Manager and Director of Operations in the advancing of productions.
· Ensuring, in concert with stage-department heads, that all stage equipment is fully functioning.
· Managing the Technical Internship program consisting of 10-12 classes over nine months.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency and prior experience in all areas of theatrical stage management and will preferably hold a BA in technical theater or related fields. Evening and weekend work is required.
